Process
The original form is shaped and pinched by hand, then used to create a mould. Each piece is cast in Australian porcelain then glaze in an iron oxide rich glossy glaze, turning the pale porcelain body a glossy brown, breaking to black where the glaze pools thickest. The original pinch marks remain visible in every cast, shaping how the light moves across the surface. Natural variation in size and finish occurs during firing.
